I am not a lawyer but I've worked in the industry enough that I need to make the following points around the Elevator Challenge to cover my butt:
- Elevator challenge software (in object or source code form), documentation, all associated IP provided on the elevatorchallenge.com web site are owned by me.
- Simulator Controller code created are owned by those authors.
- Software provided is distributed for non-commercial education and entertainment purposes only. The software cannot be used for any purpose other than as defined on elevatorchallenge.com.
- I will make best efforts to ensure the contest is conducted in accordance with the documentation and rules described but I am not liable for any error or variance in results.
- Due to some unforeseen circumstance, I may need to change the contest in some way for which I will not be liable.
